Community Guidelines

Effective 2026-10-03 · Version 2026-10-03

PawQuest is a neighborly game about noticing animals and helping them get home. These guidelines keep it kind and safe. They apply to everything you post, send, or do on PawQuest.

Be respectful

Treat people, organizations, and animals with care. Disagree without insults.

Not allowed

  • Harassment, bullying, hate, or threats of any kind
  • Sexual content, sexual exploitation, or anything inappropriate for an all-ages community
  • Any content sexualizing or exploiting children — reported to authorities where required
  • Intimate images of anyone shared without consent, including AI-generated or altered images
  • Animal abuse, cruelty, dog or animal fighting, or promoting harm to animals
  • Scams, fraud, fake rescues, impersonation, or false ownership claims
  • Doxxing: sharing someone's private address, contact details, or location without permission
  • Illegal animal sales, trafficking, or wildlife trade
  • Spam, manipulation, or misleading links
  • Dangerous instructions or encouraging risky behavior
  • Misusing the missing-pet system, posting false sightings, or deliberately abusing PetMatch
  • Gaming Paw Points, referrals, Packs, or leaderboards
  • Scraping, automation, or attempts to get around security

Enforcement

We use a combination of automated checks and human review, described in Moderation, Enforcement & Appeals. Most issues start with a correction or removal; repeated or serious violations can lead to temporary posting pauses or suspension. PawQuest keeps discretion to act on anything that threatens safety, legal compliance, or platform integrity, even if not listed here.

Report, block, appeal

Use Report on any message, profile, sighting, or listing. Block someone to stop them contacting you. If your content is held or your account is paused, open Profile → Account safety to see why (where we can share it) and ask for a review. For intimate images shared without consent, use the urgent report page in the Legal & Safety Center.
